In 1980 he graduated from the acting department of GITIS (Andreev's workshop). Since 1982, for several years, he played at the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. In 1990-1992 - actor of the Studio Theater "Man". In 1992 he returned to the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, where he worked until 1998, after which he devoted himself completely to cinema.
